1. A diagonal of a parallelogram divides it into two triangles of equal area.
2. Parallelograms on the same base and between the same parallels are equal in area.
3. A parallelogram and a rectangle on the same base and between the same parallels are equal in area.
4. Area of a parallelogram = Base × Height
5. Parallelograms on equal bases and between the same parallels are equal in area.
6. Triangle on the same base and between the same parallels are equal in area.
7. Area of Triangle = ½ × base × height
8. If a triangle and a parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallels , then the area of the triangle is equal to half the area of the parallelogram.
9. Area of Trapezium = 1/2 (sum of the parallel side) × (distance between them)
10. Area of a rhombus = 1/2 × Product of the diagonals
11. If two triangles have equal area and one side of the one triangle is equal to one side of the other then their corresponding altitudes are equal.
